HONORED RECTOR, PROFESSOR DR. HORST-DIETER WESTERHOFF
Prof. Dr. Westerhoff is a well-known scientist in economics and statistics field. Deputy General Director at the Three Chancellor Cabinet of the German Federal Government, Helmut Kohl, Gerhard Schröder and Dr. Angela Merkel, he has given a valuable contribution to fundamental issues such as the unification of two Germans, the European Monetary Union, and so on. He is currently director of the "Gesellschaft zum Studium strukturpolitischer Fragen", an organization close to the German Parliament that brings together politicians, scientists and businesses to discuss economic issues and policies. He is a lecturer in Economics and Statistics at the State University of Duisburg-Essen and a lecturer on Political Economy at the Private University Steinbeis in Berlin. He has published a large number of scientific articles and books on economics and statistics.
HONORED DECAN, FACULTY OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROF. EM. DR. JÜRGEN WOLFBAUER
Jürgen Wolfbauer has the title "Professor Emeritus" in Engineering Economics and Management at Montanuniversität Leoben University, Austria. He has more than 40 years of experience in teaching at the university, combined with research and advisory activities for various industrial groups, public administration and universities, in Austria and other countries. His experience includes: Systems Analysis Research, Development Management Research, Cybernetics in Management, Environment and Economy, etc. Prof. Em. Dr. Wolfbauer was awarded the title "Honorary Doctor" from Miskolc University in Hungary. He is a member of the Steering Board of the Research Association Joanneum Graz, Austria, and Chairman of the Research Group for Systems Analysis at the University of Leoben. He has made over 170 research reports and publications.
HONORED DEKAN , LEGAL FACULTY, BUSINESS LAW DR. HANS-ACHIM ROLL
Dr. Hans-Achim Roll is a well-known expert of law and public administration. His official career at the highest levels of the Federal Government of Germany, culminates in the years 1992-1998 with the position of Chancellor Director of the Office of the Chancellor Helmut Kohl. Since 1998 until today Dr. Hans-Achim Roll has made a valuable contribution to the preparation and implementation of the legal and public administration reforms in many countries of Eastern and Southern Europe, including Albania. He holds a Doctorate Degree in Law, defended at the University of Kiel in Germany in 1972 and is a member of the European Legislation Association. Dr. Hans-Achim Roll has published a large number of books and articles in the area of constitutional, administrative and civil law.
Dr. GARY J. REID is now an international expert and consultant in public administratio field. His latest position until September 2010 was the Head of the Public Management Sector at the World Bank where he served as Coordinator for Civil Administration Reforms and Civil Servants, implemented by the World Bank in many countries around the world, including Albania. Before joining the World Bank until 1991, he was a lecturer on Public Administration subjects at Tufts University, American University, SAIS, and at the University of Southern California. Dr. Reid has published a large number of articles in the field of public administration, human resources management, public interest disclosure and is co-author of a large number of documents and technical manuals used as guidelines or implementing instruments by the World Bank. Dr. Reid received Ph.D. in Urban Planning from Harvard University. He has been a member of the "Public Administration Revie" Publications Board, earned the Henry Scoville Award for Scientific Research and Services in the Public Administration Field in 1989 and was selected as "Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration "In 2007, a body created by special law of the United States Congress to give non-partisan ideas and advice on public administration issues and this Dr. Reid serves as chairman (director) of the International Experts Panel of this Academy.
STEPHEN BARCLAY STRAUS is an experienced business and banking manager in Southeast Europe, Western Europe and the US. He has held important positions including: Member of the Board and Director of Finance and Risk Assessment at Raiffeisen Bank Albania, General Manager of Emporiki Bank in Bulgaria, President of City Bank in Europe and New York. Mr. Straus has made an essential contribution to the establishment of the National Registration Center as an international USAID project expert in Albania. He has directed the MBA curriculum preparation process at the American University in Bulgaria and has lectured on Master's in Finance and Banking, organized by City Bank. Mr. Straus, an American citizen, has completed Master's degree in Public Affairs and International Economics at Priceton University (USA) and has received a Political Economics Certificate at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris (France). Currently, it conducts advisory activities in the field of investment financing for some of the largest foreign and domestic businesses in Albania.
OLIVER WHITTLE is an experienced banker with high skills in the managment stages of bank development, development and closure, including strategic direction, marketing, sales, finance and budgeting, personnel, product development, management projects, information technology, operations, risk management, including the return of outstanding loans, as well as managing customer relationships from individuals to international corporations in Great Britain, the Balkans and Africa. For the last three years, Oliver Whittle has been General Manager of Raiffeisen Bank Albania, the largest bank in the country. He is currently the advisory director of Sky Petroleum Inc., a US gas and oil company that has signed three concession contracts in Albania. He has completed undergraduate studies in Finance (with excellent results) and has received a certificate from the UK Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) and a Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (MCIPD) qualification certificate for banks.
