National Student Competition
The National Student Competition is organized for the first time in 2024 by Tirana Business University, as part of a nationwide competition, in which only students, individually or in groups, can participate.
The prize will be awarded annually for the best business idea from Albanian students. The organization will consist of announcing a call for participation in a national competition for innovative business ideas, only from students studying in public and private HEIs in Albania. At least 5 months before the final event, a call for participation in the competition will be announced.
The deadline for submission of ideas and proposals by students will be 3 months after the call for participation is announced. One month after the evaluation of these ideas by the team selected for this purpose, 5-10 best innovative ideas will be announced, which will be presented briefly at the final event. One month after the announcement of the ideas qualified for the final event, the final competition will be organized, where the qualified ideas will be presented, and the winners announced. An expert jury will announce the winners, who will be awarded not only symbolic, but also monetary prizes by businesses active in the country, to bring their business ideas to life in the form of start-ups.
Competitions and Start-Ups
TECHnovators and Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs are a unique initiative that has become a tradition at TBU for the past 14 years. These two competitions create an extraordinary engagement among high school graduates throughout Albania, where the competition stops at its preliminary stages, where a special jury selects the most innovative ideas, which are then evaluated at the final event in Tirana, held at TBU premises.
These business ideas, which receive financial support and necessary expertise from experienced business operators, have often resulted in successful start-ups, which continue to function efficiently, both in technology and innovation, as well as in the business sector.
Statistics over the years:
- 5000+ participants
- 500+ teams
- €100,000+ fund for prizes
- 50+ scholarships
Evaluation Criteria:
- Level of innovation and creativity
- Sustainability of the solution to the challenge
