Next Gen Academy: Practical Lecture for TBU Students in Partnership with BALFIN IT
Next Gen Academy has entered an important phase for the students of Tirana Business University. In the latest lecture, they were present at the offices of the Information Technology department of BALFIN Group, which is also TBU’s partner in this academy.
The students were introduced to the Service Desk, or more precisely, the configuration of a PC for a user, from the formatting stage, joining the domain, user setup, and application configuration. Additionally, the students were familiarized with Server & Storage, which included learning about the physical components of a server, the processor, RAM, power supply, and the creation of a virtual server using Hyper-V.
One of the student groups got a close-up view of the daily work in Network, including Firewall configurations, router configuration, switch, wifi setup for a new site, as well as visits to the Balfin Retail Rack cabinet, TEG Communication room, and DRS Site.
In this lecture, they were trained by representatives of BALFIN IT: Sidrit Bardhi – Implementation & ServiceDesk Manager; Viol Fifo – ServiceDesk Specialist; Adrian Myftari – System Administrator; Elton Projko – Network Administrator; and Suen Alla – Network Specialist.
This is a highly effective method, where students, in addition to theory, also gain hands-on experience with the practicalities and daily realities of the business world related to the profiles they study, ensuring they are in contact with and ready for the job market as soon as possible.
